Family-Friendly Fishing Charters & Boat Tours with Captain Caleb O’Connor
Blue Magoo Excursions is a local charter company offering inshore fishing, dolphin tours, and sunset cruises along Florida’s Gulf Coast.
Owned and operated by Captain Caleb O’Connor, a lifelong Bradenton native, Blue Magoo Excursions is built on a love for fishing, teaching, and family fun on the water. Caleb has spent over a decade fishing Sarasota Bay, Palma Sola Bay, Tampa Bay, Terra Ceia Bay, and the Manatee River, learning every tide, reef, and mangrove line that holds fish.
Whether you’re chasing snook and redfish, watching dolphins play, or taking in a Gulf sunset, you’ll be guided by someone who grew up on these waters and knows how to make every trip unforgettable.
Especially families with kids. Captain Caleb is passionate about helping young anglers learn the thrill of fishing, making each trip educational, safe, and fun. With plenty of fish variety, calm waters, and some of Florida’s most scenic coastlines, Anna Maria Island is the perfect destination for your next on-the-water adventure.
See dolphins, manatees, and coastal birds while cruising the calm inshore waters of Anna Maria Island.
Captain Caleb O’Connor earned his U.S. Coast Guard Captain’s License immediately after graduating from Manatee High School in 2022. Born and raised in Bradenton, he’s been fishing these waters since childhood. His boat is a fully customized 1972 22’ Aquasport, which was rebuilt in 2021 with comfort in mind, featuring a bimini top for shade and cushioned seating for all guests.
Caleb’s favorite part of every trip is helping people catch fish and build memories. He keeps the lines baited, offers expert instruction, and makes sure everyone from beginners to seasoned anglers has an enjoyable day on the water
Blue Magoo Excursions operates out of Anna Maria Island, Florida, typically launching from Kingfish Boat Ramp or Warner’s Bayou Boat Ramp, depending on your location. These areas provide easy access to Sarasota Bay, Tampa Bay, Palma Sola Bay, Terra Ceia Bay, Egmont Key, and the Manatee River.
Each trip is tailored to where the fish are biting, with options ranging from calm inshore flats to nearshore reefs within 9 miles of the coast.
